I hope that you all had a very happy Halloween. Not only are the holidays fast approaching, but there is also an exciting development from Chicagoland Chapter of the American Society for Training- CCASTD is proud to announce that it is now accepting applications for the Dr. Deborah Colky Student Award.
For the 6th year, the Dr. Deb Colky Student Award will recognize a student who shows excellent potential in the Workplace Learning and Performance (WLP) profession. Past recipients historically exhibit many of Deb's qualities, including enthusiasm and patience that encourages personal growth and skill development of those around them. It is hoped that applicants will also be effective, efficient, humanistic, and people-centric. The recipient this year will receive:
- $1,000 cash
- An invitation to the annual CCASTD Holiday Party in December
- A commemorative plaque
- One year membership to CCASTD
- Publication of one article in the professional magazine Training Today
- Are currently enrolled in a degree program related to the field of Workplace Learning and Performance
- Are planning a career in the field of Workplace Learning and Performance
- Exhibit the qualities listed above
- Reside in the Chicago area
